From Concept to Reality

Twenty Five Years of Research

The SFPro was developed based on 25 years of research including a unique, computerized swing quantification and measuring system that among other things, considers body type specific characteristics of individual golfers.  The SFPro exercises were developed to suit the unique individual physical features and swing needs of all golfers.

Inventor inspired by Moe Norman

The SFPro’s inventor and GruuvGolf founder, Mike Dagenais was inspired by legendary ball striker Moe Norman, with whom he played, practiced and discussed golf on a daily basis for a full season.  Mike’s idea was to develop a machine that would allow the golfer to do some of the same things Moe Norman did so well when striking a golf ball.  Moe told Mike repeatedly that spine angle retention was the key to his amazing ball striking ability. He would brag to Mike that he maintained his spine angle through the golf swing better than anyone.  It was from that 1987 winter day in Titusville, Florida that a young Mike Dagenais began developing what GruuvGolf now brings to the world of golf and fitness – the SFPro, a golf swing exercise system that helps promote what Moe Norman hailed as the most important part of the golf swing – spine angle retention.  Moe would also say that smart practice, repetition and finding your own way for your own body are essential to any successful golf swing.  To read more on the Moe Norman story click here….

Spine Angle Retention, Flexibility Posture and Rotation - keys to success

The now commercially available SFPro is designed to help golfers hone their best posture based on their specific physical features.  A successful, repetitive golf swing requires proper posture through the entire swing motion. Training with the SFPro promotes flexibility, helps assume proper posture and retaining the appropriate spine angle through the swing’s rotation which is critical to generating power and accuracy on a consistent basis.
