Design Features

The SFPro’s patented design incorporates several unique and revolutionary features that provide a complete golf swing exercise and teaching system. The SFPro is the only exercise device on the market which offers resistance training on an adjustable spine angle.  The SFPro helps guide the pivotal and lateral movement of the upper body to emulate the full rotation of the golf swing for either right or left handed golfers, big or small.  The following comprise the most fundamental features to the SFPro’s unique design.

Angle Adjuster

Spine angle retention is arguably the most fundamental requirement for a successful, repeatable golf swing.  The SFPro is equipped with an angle adjuster to set the shoulder bar at various angles to promote proper golf swing posture.

Virtually all tour pros maintain their spines angles between 34 and 37 degrees of inclination.  Though the SFPro’s angle adjuster has a range of zero to 90 degrees, there are two prescribed angles for using the SFPro.  The white line on the angle adjuster is set at a 36 degree angle which is where approximately 80% of tour pros tend to maintain their spine and shoulder plane during their swing.  The white line (or 36 degrees) is prescribed for the “Turn and Turn” exercise for proper shoulder rotation on a consistent plane.  The green line which is slightly steeper than the white line is prescribed for maintaining a consistent arm plane through the swing rotation and is recommended for the SFPro Takeaway, Backswing,  Impact, Follow-Through and Finish drills.

Rotating Shoulder Bar

The shoulder bar which can be set at a specified angle to help promote proper posture and spine angle can rotate 360 degrees.  This allows for the performance of exercises that help promote an unrestricted full back swing as well as a full follow through while maintaining proper posture at preset angles.

Removable, Adjustable Handles and Putting Handles

The shoulder bar is equipped with removable and adjustable handles on the left and right sides.  These handles can be fixed at various locations along the shoulder bar depending on shoulder width and/or arm length.  Special putting handles that come standard with the SFPro can be used to perform the SFPro Putting exercise.  The Putting Handles are easily interchangeable with the other handles.

Resistance Bands

All SFPro drills can be performed with adjustable resistance.  A total resistance of 30 pounds is available in 5 pound increments provided by three elasticized bands, each with their own resistance levels of 5, 10 and 15 pounds respectively.  The elasticized bands provide gradual resistance allowing for the performance of the exercises in a smooth comfortable manner reducing the risk of performing jerky, ill controlled movements.

Height Adjuster and Collapsible Raising Arm

The height adjuster is the mechanism used to set the height of the SFPro’s shoulder bar by moving the Collapsible Raising Arm up or down.  The height adjuster allows for golfers of at least 4 feet, 8 inches up to 6 feet, 8 inches in height to take full advantage of the SFPro’s exercises.  The Raising Arm can be collapsed in order to perform exercises that do not require the shoulder bar (e.g. the SFPro Transition drill).

Adjustable Leg Brace

A lateral sway in the legs during the swing’s upper body rotation is not desirable in performing a proper golf swing.  The Adjustable Leg Brace is designed to help impede leg sway in performing some of the SFPro exercises, especially the Turn and Turn drill during the takeaway and backswing motion of the swing.
