Swing Benefits
“I have been playing golf for only two years and my playing partners are still wondering how I managed to improve so quickly. I now shoot in the low 80′s. I wonder if I should share my secret – training with the SFPro.”
- Claude Voyer, Gatineau, Quebec
The SFPro trains muscles to help make the same movements on a repetitive basis and to consistently hit the same positions on every swing. By training the body to make the right moves, the game of golf becomes easier and more enjoyable. Only a few minutes per day, two to three days per week in the SFPro will help dramatically improve the golf swing, golf performance and overall fitness. Those who have tried the SFPro (from beginner to Pro) have all remarked on how they have noticed increased distance, improved accuracy and lower scores.
Spine angle retention
Maintaining spine angle through the swinging motion makes the golf swing simpler and more powerful. The SFPro is designed to help condition the golfer to maintain proper spine angle through the swing to promote the use of the larger muscles, making the swing more powerful and more predictable. A player’s ability to maintain spine angle throughout the swing motion also means less manipulation of the hands and forearms in the swing and therefore results in more consistent ball striking. The SFPro’s Turn and Turn exercise trains golfers to remain inclined over the ball at the same angle, translating to more solid and consistent ball contact.
Flexibility
As with any athletic endeavor, the body’s flexibility will affect overall form and range of the motion. Improving flexibility will enhance performance and lead to a more efficient swinging motion. Training with the SFPro will improve overall flexibility and balance by developing the appropriate core, stabilizer and shoulder and hip muscles and joints. Performing the SFPro exercises with resistance in a slow, repetitive motion will help golfers achieve greater control of their swing and improve their ability to reach key positions required for increased power, distance and accuracy.
Posture and rotation
The SFPro was designed to get the golfer into the proper posture through a height and angle adjustable mechanism that ensures the golfer can perform exercises through the entire swing while maintaining proper posture and limiting undesired lateral motion (hip sway) of the lower body throughout the swing. Proper posture also promotes rotation and eliminates the need for manipulative corrections during the golf swing which increases the probability of an effective, repetitive swinging motion. Achieving an adequate amount of rotation in the golf swing generates consistent power. Proper rotation is mandatory to get to some of the more difficult positions of the golf swing. Agility in rotation will contribute to the overall speed of the club head and therefore in the amount of power the swing can produce. Proper practice with rotation drills in the SFPro will help turn with less restriction.
