About Michel (Mike) Dagenais

Michel (Mike) Dagenais has had a fascination with the golf swing since he was a young child.  He played, practiced and studied golf at a very young age and became a member of the Canadian PGA (CPGA) in 1981 at the age of 18.  A few years later, Mike had the good fortune to play and practice extensively with the legendary and world famous ball striker, Moe Norman.  Mike was so inspired by Moe’s machine like consistency that he set out to create a “machine” that could be used to train, practice and teach the game of golf to help all golfers be a bit more like Moe.   Mike’s invention culminated in a golf swing “machine” that is better known today as the SFPro, a patented system that helps develop proper posture and spine angle retention through the rotational plane of the golf swing while developing strength and flexibility in all the areas used to achieve power and accuracy.

Mike has worked extensively with biomechanics experts and kinesiologists to develop a proprietary swing quantification and analysis program and body type specific exercises that are part of the ”science” behind the SFPro.

Mike has been teaching golf on and off for decades.  He was recognized as the CPGA Teacher of the Year for the Ottawa Zone in 2006 and 2010.  He won the Canadian Long Drive Championship in 1986 and has won numerous CPGA events including the Ottawa Zone championship in 2009 with a two day score of -9.  His low tournament score is 64.

Mike is also the inventor of the GruuvGolf body specific custom club fitting system which uses the SFPro to complement the customized measurement approach.

Mike lives in Gatineau, Québec, Canada where he teaches golf with the SFPro.
